HS//23 - MEXICO BY CALLUM HAYES

Mexico by Callum Hayes

Callum packed up a selection of pieces from our High Summer 23 collection to photograph on his recent trip to Mexico & Costa Rica.

What drew you to Mexico?

Mexico has always stood out to me as a place to visit, nice beaches, food markets, simple modern architecture with the use of bright colours and plants really make a cool place to photograph. After spending a few days in the beautiful Tulum we drove along the South East coast to a small town called Bacalar. This had some of the clearest water I’d ever seen, white sand beaches along the freshwater lagoon. It was like paradise.

I would also highly recommend Santa Teresa in Costa Rica. We booked the first flight out from Cancun to San Jose and drove about 6 hours to the coast. Once we arrived, we instantly felt at home, it's a cool, small surf town with a really nice community feel about it, with slow living in mind. We had no idea what to expect, but it did not disappoint. The only thing we regret is not staying longer!

And what were you favourite Parlez pieces to wear whilst you were away?

The white T-shirts were good to wear throughout the hot days as they were super lightweight. The Anse shorts are real comfy and quick drying which was perfect because I could wear them all day walking around along with in the pool or the sea. I also love the Topaz tote bag; it came in super handy and was perfect to take to the beach and use in everyday situations whilst I was travelling. My favourite piece was the Ladsun blue T-shirt, I really like the simple design and the good quality fit.
